Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Sting Ray: 3 Bedroom Ocean Front Condo has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
