Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Fantastic Ocean View Condo with Bunk Beds T2012 at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More considerations:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
