Tips for getting the best rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Site 6004 Beautiful 5bdrm, 3.5 bath sleeps 10 guest has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
