Tips to get the best rental home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Capers Blade - Across From Beach - Garage has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
