Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Serenity & Comfort - All You Will Find at Magnolia Place in Myrtlewood Golf!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
More considerations:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
