Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. B512 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Sunny Seaside Sanctuary has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
