Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sunrise Shores Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
