Tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick a perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 272 Flamingo Oceanside Village Waterfront Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
