Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Tidal Ecstasy: Spacious Suite Oceanfront 10th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
