Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

When to visit & When to book:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to choose the perfect rental:

  • First, have your family decide on the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Tidal Ecstasy: Spacious Suite Oceanfront 10th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
