Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Tranquil Escape: 10th Floor 3BR Angle OV Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
