Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the best rental value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the perfect rental:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Tranquil Escape 14thFlr 3BR Angle Ocean View Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
