Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Snowbird Specials Available-Tranquil Palms Oceanfront Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
