Tips to get the best vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Two Bedroom Two Bath at Oceanfront Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
