Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Filter your search:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. UPDATED UNIT, BEST VALUE-Top beachfront resort, Clean, Ideal location, Pool near has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
