Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Updated Friendly Condo - Steps to the Beach! Close to Attractions! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
