Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your group select trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Updated Friendly Condo - Steps to the Beach! Close to Attractions! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
