Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Club Wyndham SeaWatch Resort- Gorgeous Oceanfront Resort. Two bedroom! Book now! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
