Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. B515 Beachfront Bliss at Myrtle Beach Resort: Your Dream Vacation has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
