How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. B515 Beachfront Bliss at Myrtle Beach Resort: Your Dream Vacation has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.

Advice for your stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
