Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local shops and restaurants.

Finding the perfect rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Your Ocean-View Escape Awaits at A208 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
