Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book yourrental:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 3BR\/3BA Oceanfront Corner unit On Boardwalk has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
