How to get the best vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Calming & Relaxing condo in the center of MB has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is best for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
