Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Calming & Relaxing condo in the center of MB has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
