How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Elevated Coastal Retreat - Queen Suite 10th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
