Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. New Oceanview, Low Floor, Heated Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
