How to book the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the perfectvacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 14th Floor Oceanfront Corner Balcony 2BR Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
