Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking a perfectvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 18th-floor ocean-view studio with beach access, pool & hot tub - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
During your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
