How to get the best rental home value:
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- First and foremost, have your group agree to date ranges and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 18th Floor OCEANFRONT-CAMELOT BY THE SEA has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. - Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
