Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. 2 Bedrm \/ 2 Bath Myrtle Beach Family Friendly Condo. Newly updated throughout!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
