Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Condo, 2 Blocks from the BEACH! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
