Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Brigadune on Shore Drive has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
