Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the best rental home:
- Start by having your group agree to dates and a max budget.

- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.

- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
