Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 3br Lockoff Condo Myrtle Beach Family Fun! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
