Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:

  • First, have your group select dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 3rd Floor Oceanfront Room Retreat with View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
