Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your rental search:
- To start, have your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. FS6123 Myrtle Beach Resort: Perfect Courtyard View Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
