Strategies to get the best rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking your prefectrental:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 3rd Floor Ocean View Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ WiFi, AC, Shared Pool\/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Additional considerations:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
