How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 4bed4ba Lakefront Home! Ocean Lakes. Just renovated! Not much left this summer!! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
