Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 5th-floor studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, call the host before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
