Tips for getting the best rental home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the bestrental home:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Coastal Serenity: Partial Ocean View Room 4th Flr has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation group.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
