Tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Charming 1-bedroom condo in brilliant Myrtle Beach with AC, WiFi has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
