How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose and book the rightrental:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 6th-floor ocean-view condo with beach access, pool, hot tub - snowbird-friendly has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
