Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 7th Floor Ocean Perch: Spacious Coastal Getaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
