How to find the best vacation home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New Place at the Beach III - Low Floor, Views! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
