Tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • To book the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 7th Flr Oceanfront Wrap Around Balcony 2BR Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
