You can roast marshmallows in the fire pit or prepare dinner on the gas grille while watching your favorite sporting event. On sunny days they can burn off some energy at the two playgrounds, basketball courts, shuffleboard, or miniature golf. The full-time recreation staff can help you acquire tickets for local shows. You can also visit the Ocean Lakes Nature Discovery Center Lab on the campgrounds.

Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. MH 136A - All-inclusive [7-day rental] Ocean Lakes home with tiki bar\/golf cart\n has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
