Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. New Amazing Corner\/Amazing Views Honeymoon Suite! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
