Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To book the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Amazing Harbour Lights, 1 Bedroom Deluxe has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
