Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and choosing your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Winter Rates! Cozy Oceanview Suite w\/ Full Kitchen has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
