Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Amazing Pond View condo + pool at MyrtleWoods has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
