Rental home tips:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. An Elevator Ride down to the Sea in Quiet South Myrtle Beach. Parking Deck! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
