Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. B14 Ocean Lakes Magnificent View!!! Book Today!! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
