Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Beach Adventures Cabana Room 4th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
