Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking yourrental home:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beachfront condo ! Ocean front ! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
